Topic: Open House - Baton Rouge Community College Jackson Site
We welcome you to attend our upcoming Open House from10:30 to 2:00 on Tuesday, December 12. The theme is honoring our veterans and creating our future as individuals and a region.
Our special guests will be our students and residents from the Louisiana Veterans Home. Together, we will honor our veterans and celebrate the successes of our students.
Louisiana State Representative Kenny Havard will be the guest speaker. A jambalaya lunch is being prepared by Robbie Jackson, Mayor of Slaughter. The healthcare department will provide blood pressure screening and health care information. The welding department will display examples of student welding coupons, welding projects and demonstrate stick, mig and tig welding techniques and plasma arc cutting. A welding simulator will be set up for those interested in trying their hand at virtual welding.
